Show Those Curves!

No better way to feel sexy and covered than showing off your curves.  A cinch waist jacket with jeans that fit well and have detailed pockets.  Larger bottoms beware.  Only if it suits you to accentuate the "positives", take care that the detail is complimentary and tasteful.

This look is another that suits everyday.  Jeans with heels are classic and versatile.  A white button up with nice accessories can take you from day to "happy hour" in a snap.  The waist length of the jacket is crucial to this look.  If you bend your arms the waist should hit about where your elbows are.

Carry the gold tone throughout your outfit to keep it simple and throw a statement necklace in your bag for later if you like.

I really love the pockets on these jeans.  The color is amazing and deviates from basic blue.  This is a big deal for us girls with hips.  They offer just the right amount of interest without making my bottom the main feature.

To find jeans that are the right length for my six foot frame is nothing short of a miracle.  Thank goodness designers are taking this into consideration during the design process.

Military Inspired.

I love, love, love this jacket.  We have had this for quite some time and it is so easy to wear.  Dressed up or down it adds a structure that gives a nice finishing polish to any outfit.  This outfit should be a go to staple that you can modify for most occasions.  Basic skinnies that are long enough to cover the tops of the ankle boot (or ankle bone when worn with pumps) and a white classic t-shirt.

Details, details, details.  When you pick yours make sure there are lots of details but assure they are understated.  As I mentioned we have had this jacket FOREVER, and it has carried us from season to season year after year because the details are classic, and not audacious.

The brighter green ear ring gives the pop of color needed to elevate the look.  A bolder gold or same color as the jacket would accomplish a more monochromatic look but not as much interest.

The gold tones are muted.  No shiny gold accept the watch and the details on the shoes.

Super comfortable!  Assure yours are too.  This color is no mistake.  These booties can be worn with skirts and dresses that blend as opposed to black which can be a bit harsh.

The Trench Coat

When the temperature takes a little dip, just slip on a lighter weight trench to keep you cozy.  Add a colorful scarf for contrast and interest.

This bow is so simple to tie.  One day when we get our YouTube vids going we will show you how.  Thanks to my friend Stacie, who is the bow and gift wrap queen, I was taught by a pro.

This look is classic.  The key is to assure your trench fits well.  The shoulders must hit in the right place and the waist be defined.  We apologize for the knot in this picture.  An oversight.  I was getting hot because the sun came out and we had to hide behind the house. :)

Nice accessories go a long way but don't over do it.  This deep green adds just the right accent to this beautiful orange.

We will not normally post prices, but when we do it is to inspire you to think outside the box and to be kind to your budget.

No Need For "Sweats"

This post is for all women who live in SWEATS!  Make a better choice and feel better all day long.

Guilty!  I am a mother of a 5 year old and I felt like it was easier to just throw on the sweats I had on yesterday than make "the effort".  If you are in a career that requires a uniform, or a self imposed one, you can and have fallen into a fashion slump.  T to the rescue.  It takes just as long to pull on these skinnies and button this shirt as it does sweats.  Even less because I did not have to tie my shoes.  No fuss.  We kept this look clean and simple for everyday.   Throw on a cute necklace and your are out the door.  I was the cutes Mom at the grocery store.
Red lips always makes you feel pretty!  No occasion necessary.

"Summer To Fall Mini Transition"

On this blog you will notice the wonderful styling.  It is all "T".  She has such a great sense of style and it takes her seconds to put together her vision.  I am just the hanger.

This is a light and flirty summer skirt with bold fall colors that make the material appear heavier than it is.  Perfect for a cool fall day.  The classic white button up makes this look timeless.  The tissue thin sweater provides coverage without adding bulk and the vest adds a pop of color while tying the entire outfit together.  Simple and easy.
This handbag is the perfect size for everyday.  The deeper tan provides the right contrast without overpowering the outfit.
Ladies, keep in mind that I am six feet tall.  Yep, I said six feet, so be careful with your proportions.  This skirt is about three inches above my knee so this bag is big.  It should be large keeping in mind the length of your mini.
Without the belt the look would not be the same.  I love this little knot because it is not fussy and stays in place all day.  Remember, ease and comfortably chic all day is key.

Playing in the park!

Today we wanted to have some fun in a park that we grew up in, Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan.  TeGenet is the resident stylist and I am the "Dummy".  This is the situation purely because my style sense is frankly "in need of great help".  That is ok because I like being the dress up doll.

Vintage Score!

Belle Isle Casino

On a transitional day like today, a nice cozy sweater is not too hot but does provide cozy coverage.  We found this sweater coat in a cute little vintage shop in Canada which borders Detroit.  This is proof that you should never discount vintage or gently used items.  The sweater was around $50.
